Dariya Maminova (*1988, Saint-Petersburg, Russia) is a pianist and composer based in Cologne, works in the fields instrumental music, musical theatre, improvisation, music and video, music and dance, electroacoustic music. 

 

Studied piano at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg Conservatory, studied composition in the Hochschule fuer Musik Detmold with Prof. Fabien Lévy and in the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with prof. Johannes Schöllhorn and Brigitta Muntendorf. At different times studied and/or attended master classes with Mark Andre, Klaus Lang, Francesco Filidei, Georges Aperghis, Simon Steen-Andersen, Jennifer Walshe, Dmitri Kourliandski, Clara Iannotta, Carola Bauckholt, Yannis Kyriakides, Alessandro Solbiati, Sergej Newski, Mauro Lanza, Gilbert Nouno, Hanna Hartman, David Helbich, Gerome Combier, Elzbieta Sikora.

 

She was awarded the Bernd Alois Zimmermann Scholarship in 2020.

Her works have been performed by the Cologne ensembles Musikfabrik, hand werk, Garage and BRuCH and the Cologne Guitar Quartet, the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart and the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME) at festivals such as Eclat Stuttgart, Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik and 8 Brücken Köln.
